Golfing recruit signs

The Virginia men's golf teamsigned a valuable recruit in Greg Carlin of Kensington, Md. Carlin was named to this year's AJGA HP Scholastic Junior All-American Team. He has competed in numerous tournaments in his junior career, including two appearances in the USGA Junior Championships. He has won several junior tournaments, including the Bobby Gorin Tournament and the Frank Emmett Schoolboy Tournament. In 2003 he finished in the top 10 of the Maryland Open.

Carlin attends Georgetown Prep in Potomac, Md., and will be the fourth Prep alumnus to compete for Virginia golf.

But much of their work goes into planning summer orientation sessions. Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
