Teamer returns, O'Reggio departs for Virginia

Junior forward Brandi Teamer will return to the women's basketball team after missing a week's worth of games and practices. Teamer has returned to practice, but it is still undetermined whether she will see immediate game action.

The Cavaliers have played three ACC games without Teamer. During that stint the team went 2-1, picking up a loss against Duke.

Teamer, a preseason all-ACC player, is Virginia's top-scorer with 12.1 points per game and top-rebounder, averaging 5.8.

But, the news of Teamer's return was offset by the loss junior center Lynette O'Reggio. O'Reggio says she plans to take the spring semester off to focus on academics. She contributed as a reserve player, clocking 7.1 minutes per game and averaging 0.9 points.
