Williams dismissed from football team

Virginia coach Al Groh said in a statement yesterday that redshirt freshman linebacker J'Courtney Williams has been dismissed from the team. Williams was arrested Monday and was charged with one count of credit card theft and one count of credit card fraud in connection with the theft of a University student's wallet.

"J'Courtney's time here has unfortunately been marked by issues which fall below the line of what is acceptable to us," Groh stated. "Therefore, he will no longer be a member of our program."
