Untapped resources

For us young, single, college-attending males, tracking down our female counterparts can become quite a boring process. That is to say, the locations of such interactions become fairly monotonous after a while. There seem to be a set number of places one might be able to pick up a fine member of the opposite sex.

Every guy has probably - hopefully - hit on his fair share of girls at fraternity parties. Most of us also have grown weary of spending money at pricey bars buying the young lady in the corner her favorite shot. Casually flirting during class, meanwhile, has begun to seem lame, and every CIO seems to be out of prospects.

It is time, my friends, to change up the game. It is time to think outside the box.

While most guys are thinking of places they can expect to find single ladies, the real goal should be to come up with places where there will be single ladies and as few other perspective males as possible. The ideal example is probably the women's restroom, but this columnist is most definitely not supporting that. I used to clean the ladies' facilities at a grocery store and I can tell you that their hygiene is for reals not up to snuff. I do, however, have a fairly decent list of alternative spots that might yield just as successful results.

1. LGBTQ parties. Let's look at the simple laws of supply and demand. It is no secret that gay men always have flocks of heterosexual women to hang out with. When they throw parties, who do you think are on the guest list other than other lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender cats? That's right. Young, single, attractive babes.
