Barracks Road to undergo changes

The Barracks Road Shopping Center will undergo renovations starting this May, according to a press release by its property manager, Federal Realty Investment Trust.

The renovations will last until 2012, and are intended to improve the main building and north wing. A new canopy roof will be constructed and canopy columns will be redesigned. The fountain court will undergo construction as well.

Deirdre Johnson, director of asset management for Federal Reality Investment Trust, said in the press release that "the updates at Barracks road will enhance the visual appeal and customer experience."
