University Judiciary Committee elects leadership for 2026-27 term

The UJC elected the voting members of its Executive Committee March 22 for the 2026-27 term, with Zach Davidson as UJC chair

The University Judiciary Committee elected its next Executive Committee March 22, with Zach Davidson, former vice chair for first years and third-year College student, elected as chair. Davidson and the new leadership began their term April 1 and will serve until April 1, 2027. 

In a statement to The Cavalier Daily, Davidson expressed his excitement to work with the new Executive Committee. 

“This year’s internal elections showcased how much the Committee has to offer, and I am excited to work with all of our representatives and support officers in the new term ahead,” Davidson stated. “The new Executive Committee is deeply experienced, knowledgeable and passionate, and I am looking forward to seeing what we are able to accomplish.” 

The UJC Executive Committee is composed of five voting members and seven non-voting members. The voting members were internally elected March 22 and include the chair, vice chair for trials, vice chair for sanctions, vice chair for first-years and vice chair for graduate students. The voting members are elected by the UJC representatives from each of the 13 undergraduate and graduate schools at the University.

During the 2025-26 term, Zach Davidson served as the vice chair for first-years, and he now serves as the UJC chair, in succession to fourth-year College student Allison McVey.

Second-year Engineering student Griffin Franzese is the new vice chair for trials and previously served as policy and projects subcommittee chair and a UJC representative for Engineering. According to the UJC bylaws, the vice chair for trials oversees administrative operations of the UJC and directs all UJC representatives.

Third-year Batten student Leah Rockwell is the new vice chair for sanctions and previously served as an investigator. According to the UJC bylaws, the vice chair for sanctions keeps records of and administrates all imposed sanctions. 

Third-year Engineering student Aali Siddiqui is the new vice chair for first years and previously served as a UJC representative for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. According to the UJC bylaws, the vice chair for first years selects, trains and oversees administrative responsibilities for the First Year Judiciary Committee.

Law student Haley Huamani is the new vice chair for graduate students. Huamani previously served as a UJC representative for the School of Law. According to the UJC bylaws, the vice chair for graduate students manages outreach to the graduate schools at the University.

The non-voting members were appointed March 26 and include two senior counselors, a senior investigator, a senior educator and a senior data manager. The FYJC chair and FYJC vice chair are also non-voting members, but they will be selected during the 2026-27 academic year. 

Third-year College student Skye Milne is one of the two new senior counselors and previously served as hazing response subcommittee chair and counselor. According to the UJC bylaws, senior counselors select, train and oversee counselors. 

Second-year College student Taylor Petrofski is the other new senior counselor and previously served as Judiciary Week subcommittee chair and counselor.

Second-year College student Moksha Mummalaneni is the new senior investigator and previously served as an investigator. According to the UJC bylaws, the senior investigator selects, trains and oversees investigators.

Second-year College student Saxon Kelleher is the new senior educator and previously served as senior data manager. According to the UJC bylaws, the senior educator selects educators and implements outreach activities.

First-year College student Frank Siciliano is the new senior data manager and previously served as the vice chair of the FYJC. According to the UJC bylaws, the senior data manager maintains the UJC website, coordinates with the University Information Technology Services and keeps track of UJC budget expenditures.

The new Executive Committee participated in a transition ceremony March 29, during a UJC general body meeting, before beginning their terms April 1.
