The two new bylaws were drafted and proposed by Hamza Aziz, vice chair for investigations and third-year College student.
Rachel Most, associate dean for undergraduate academic programs, made the request for all three students.
The proposed amendment would instead require the Senate to propose a slate of three candidates to the Board, who will then select one individual from the three to serve as the representative.
The Lighting of the Lawn Committee is made up of 48 members from all four undergraduate classes.

This decision does not apply to courses at the Darden Graduate School of Business, School of Law or School of Medicine.
