Though the multi-sanction system has been formally passed by the student body, it will not be formally ratified until July 1.
Following applications, the Community Coalition conducted a series of interviews with candidates and finally narrowed down their selections to the people nominated in Tuesday’s legislation.
According to Raza, UJC serves a unique role in student self governance not seen in other institutions in the country.

The meeting was in quorum with 18 out of 26 members present, meaning the Committee could vote on constitutional and by law matters.
If passed in the student body vote, the new constitution will be the first successful multi-sanction legislation since the Honor system’s induction in 1842.
The two new bylaws were drafted and proposed by Hamza Aziz, vice chair for investigations and third-year College student.
Ryan’s idea for the Council has been in the works “for some time,” according to Bowen, mirroring many of the student-outreach initiatives which Ryan has undertaken during his time at the University.
Later in the meeting, Rep. Kevin Lin, third-year graduate Engineering student, discussed the need for more representation on the Committee from the School of Engineering.
The meeting began with updates on the Honor Constitutional Convention where Gabrielle Bray, chair of the Committee and fourth-year College student, outlined plans for the convention's upcoming kick-off.
The convention was originally scheduled for October 17th, but was delayed due to timing and representation concerns.
Dorm Talks is a series of discussions about Honor and the Honor processes held between members of the committee and students.
The official campaign season began on Oct. 5th and results were announced Wednesday Oct. 12 at 5 pm.
Students found guilty can appeal based upon new evidence or procedural errors, while students punished with sanctions may do the same or argue that the sanctions are unduly harsh for their offense.
The meeting was attended by 11 out of 23 members, meaning that quorum was not met and the Committee could not vote on constitutional matters.
Cain sees the budget as returning funds back to students and ensuring they benefit directly from the fees they pay.
