Katzen's number one priority is the security and safety of Virginia in light of the Sept. 11 attacks. He also wants to improve public schools, abolish the car tax and move families from welfare to work.

On the Issues

Higher education: He supports the tuition freeze and supported lowering the cost of Virginia's colleges by 20 percent when he was a delegate to the Virginia General Assembly.
