The women's rowing team won the varsity four and quad events at this weekend's Rivanna Romp, hosted by Virginia. The Cavaliers also finished second in both the varsity and novice eights.
Virginia won the varsity four competition with a time of 15 minutes, 25.3 seconds, edging out Ohio State by three seconds. The Buckeyes beat out the Cavaliers to win the varsity eight, while Duke won the novice eight event. Boats from Miami and Tennessee also participated.
The wins mark Virginia's first at the fall Rivanna Romp in two years. The event was the last of the fall season for Virginia, who will head into the winter offseason. The Cavaliers will resume action in the spring.
