Women's Basketball seniors recognized

University of Virginia seniors LaTonya Blue and Brandi Teamer have been honored with selections to the 2005 Virginia Sports Information Directors' All-State women's basketball team. Blue earned first-team honors while Teamer received second-team honors.

This is the third consecutive VaSID honor for Teamer. The 6-2 forward, who averaged 12.7 points per game this past season, is a four-time All ACC honoree. She has led the Cavaliers in scoring for two straight seasons.

Blue is also a four-time All ACC honoree. She averaged 12.4 ppg during the 2004-2005 campaign and was selected as ACC player of the week four times during her career.

Funlola Fagbohun, associate director of the first year experience, describes her experience working with OTP and how she strives to create a welcoming environment for first-years during orientation and beyond. Along with her role as associate director, summer Orientation leaders and OTP staff work continually to provide a safe and memorable experience for incoming students.
