Who's in? Who's out?

Who's In?

\nDan Brown, The Lost Symbol - We admit, it's not exactly high-brow literature, but it's flying off the shelves, which is great for the book industry.

Shakira "She Wolf" - This ode to lycanthropy is backed by one of the greatest guitar riffs and bass lines in pop music this year. The fact that she actually howls like a wolf is an added bonus.

Fall TV - True Blood aside, summer was slim in its small screen offerings. We're therefore thankful for having our favorite shows back to distract us from studying.

Weezer "I Want You To" - It's not making headlines like "Pork and Beans," but this new single is an upbeat Cheap Trick-styled track with an irresistible chorus.\n

Who's Out?

\nJay Leno - Spoiler alert: He is just as unfunny at 10 p.m. as he was at 11:30.

The Office - The season six premiere left us a little cold, as it seemed the actors were just going through the motions rather than creating comedy gold. We're not giving up but we expect better.

Another Pirates of the Caribbean Movie - Set for release in summer 2011, we're already dreading another installment of this franchise that was dead halfway through the second film.

The University's Football Team - We here at tableau usually try to refrain from commenting about the University's sports teams, but at 0-3, we feel like Kanye at a Taylor Swift concert.
