Little Johns, Michael's basement fire shuts down Corner

No injuries, cause unknown, Jones says

Charlottesville Fire Department Spokesperson Richard Jones said the Department responded to a call about a fire in Little Johns on The Corner at 2:18 PM on Friday.

Jones said the fire occurred in the basement of 1427 University Avenue, the building which houses both Michael’s Bistro and Little Johns.

The fire shut down the entire Corner area for multiple hours, but Jones said their were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
