Men's basketball travels south for Conference battle against 'Noles

Coming off their first road victory over North Carolina since 1981, the well-rested Virginia men's basketball team looks to continue its current scorching status as the squad takes on the Seminoles of Florida State Saturday in Tallahassee. The Cavaliers have been on a roll ever since returning home from a difficult four-game road trip.Since returning to the friendly confines of University Hall, the Cavs (18-8, 8-5 ACC) have played themselves back into a third-place spot in the ACC standings after last Sunday's Carolina victory. The VMI men's basketball team came into last night's game in University Hall looking for a repeat performance of last year's contest, in which the Keydets stunned the Cavaliers by keeping the came close through the entire first half.

Virginia hoops prep for Russian National Team

The preseason doesn't look to get much easier for the Cavalier women's basketball team as the Russian national team comes calling at University Hall tonight at 7:30 p.m. The Russian national team comes into tonight's showdown continuing their seven-game American tour after previous stops in Atlanta, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Clemson.
