Virginia rowing faces stiff competition in West coast trip

The women's crew team came away with only two wins out of a possible six at the Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic in California this weekend.

On Saturday, Virginia was victorious in two of its three races against Southern Cal. They managed to win in the second varsity eight and the varsity four races, but dropped the first varsity eight.

California-Berkeley swept the Cavaliers in all three races Sunday.

The Cavaliers will return to action on April 6 to compete in the Occoquan Sprints in Springfield, Va.
