Thompson named ACC Pitcher of the WeekSophomore pitcher Jacob Thompson was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week yesterday.The righty tossed a complete game shutout Friday against Duke, striking out 10. His 1.49 ERA leads the ACC. The award is Thompson's first.

Turner named ACC Player of the WeekSenior goalie Kip Turner was named ACC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week yesterday after guiding Virginia to two wins last week.Against Binghamton, Turner had 11 saves. He had a season-high 14 saves in Virginia's victory over North Carolina. Turner stands atop the ACC in goals against average at 6.84 goals per game. Turner also owns a .576 save percentage.

Huey named ACC Player of the WeekJunior Treat Huey was named ACC Men's Tennis Player of the Week yesterday.Huey went 2-0 in both singles and doubles last week in Virginia victories over Miami and Florida State.
