After falling behind early, the Virginia men's lacrosse team bounced back to handle Towson on the road yesterday, winning 15-10 to remain undefeated on the year.
Despite a 2-1 lead, the Cavaliers found themselves trailing 4-2 by the end of the first period. But then the orange and blue then went on a four-goal scoring run during the first four minutes of the second quarter and entered halftime ahead 8-6. The Cavaliers held on to this lead for the remainder of the game behind four goals from sophomore attack Chris Bocklet. Senior midfielder Brian Carroll added two goals and two assists, as well. By the end of regulation, the Cavaliers only barely edged Towson 37-34 in shots but had a 48-26 ground ball advantage and had won 17-of-27 face-offs.
