Located at the northwestern end of the 14.5-acre Emmet Ivy Corridor, this new student housing will offer 750 to 800 beds in apartment-style units primarily for upperclassmen students.
It is unclear if this announcement will affect the timeline for a return to Guides-led admissions tours or their collaborative relationship with the University more broadly.
The contribution will fund several “key initiatives,” including new need-based scholarships and the construction of the new Bill Gatton Technology and Data Analytics Hall.
The Board is the University’s governing body responsible for overseeing major projects and plans related to the University’s long-term future.
The institute will develop AI-driven tools to process large data sets and aid analysts in identifying advancements and potential national security threats.
According to Ryan, these reforms resulting from the settlement give the University the option to share a portion of their revenue with student-athletes, potentially amounting to around $20 million annually at the University,
Reporting directly to the Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer, the Dean oversees budgeting, planning and staff recruitment while advocating for student well-being, according to the Executive Search Group’s specifications.
The programs that are part of the center include a Master of Public Safety degree, as well as dual credit programs with the FBI National Academy, FBI Elevate and National Criminal Justice Command College.
