The Teach-In followed an organized structure in which four speakers presented on topics ranging from the history of labor organizing at the University to what shared governance means today.
Clay Dickerson said that launching a University-wide career closet was one of his primary goals to ensure all students had access to business attire.
Ultimately, Dickerson said during the Aug. 8 meeting that the decision to draft this resolution was not easy but was necessary so as to fulfill Student Council’s role.
According to the resolution, the Board failed to respond to Student Council’s July 15 requests and has ignored student leaders’ concern with the current selection process.
The Senate is able to represent the faculty perspective to legislative bodies through positions such as the faculty representative to the Board of Visitors.

Edwards and Shortmann will be responsible for reunion events, including the Young Alumni Reunion which includes a celebration with alumni from the three most recent graduating classes.
