Two Virginia lacrosse stars receive national honors

Senior tri-captain Tiffany Schummer and junior midfielder Caitlin Banks received recognition for their play in Saturday's match-up at the University of North Carolina. Insidelacrosse.com gave Schummer an honorable mention selection for National Player of the Week for her performance against the Tar Heels. Schummer's defensive play kept UNC two goals below their season average and also forced two turnovers for the Cavaliers.

Banks made the honor roll on womenslacrosse.com for her two goals and four ground balls in the Virginia victory.
