Wrestling drops match against No. 4 Lehigh

The Virginia wrestling team fought valiantly on Saturday but fell 22-13 to the No. 4 Lehigh Mountain Hawks. The Cavaliers kept the match close until the Mountain Hawks won the final two bouts to seal the victory.

Freshman Anthony Burke started off the competition on a positive note for the Cavaliers, winning the 125-pound match by the score of 9-1 over Lehigh's Andrew Rizzi. Virginia senior Paul Bjorlo notched a 13-8 win over Dave Nakasone at 157 pounds. Junior Chet Naylor and sophomore Kyle Narkiewicz also posted 7-6 and 7-5 victories for the Cavaliers at 141 and 185 pounds respectively.

The loss to Lehigh, which is now 17-3, puts the Cavaliers' overall season record at 4-9. Virginia has dropped three straight dual matches. The Cavaliers' next opportunity to end their losing streak will be Friday night at home against N.C. State.
