Introducing the new Cavalier Daily Sports podcast, 'Hoos On First'

Episode one: Virginia football & Duke week

Welcome to the official Cavalier Daily Sports podcast, “Hoos on First,” a weekly podcast brought to you by the Sports Section and hosted by feature writer Emily Caron. Each week we’ll talk all things Virginia sports and break down the latest happenings for listeners.

Each podcast will begin with a Wahoo Weekly segment where a guest from The Cavalier Daily Sports Staff will overview the week in Virginia sports.

Emily will also have a weekly guest to discuss the latest ongoings with the Cavaliers and test their knowledge with Virginia sports trivia questions. This first episode features Sports Illustrated reporter Ben Baskin, a former Cavalier Daily writer himself.

This week’s episode also covers Emily and Ben’s impressions of this year’s football team, Ben’s thoughts on the changes in the program since his graduation and a preview of Saturday’s game against Duke.
