Food for Honor

The Honor Committee is giving away food this week. Doughnuts, Papa John's Pizza and Big Jim's Bar-B-Que are all part of the Honor Committee's Honor Awareness week.

"The main goal of Honor Awareness Week is to create a discussion of the honor system," Vice Chair for Education Luke Mitchell said.

Yesterday marked the kickoff of the committee's Honor Awareness Week with free doughnuts on the Lawn and at the Chemistry auditorium. The main purpose of the Lawn table was to answer questions about the honor system and Committee.

The Honor Committee will host a panel with student leaders and faculty tonight. The honor panel begins at 7pm in Gilmer 190; the panelist will discuss honor and the administration.

Mitchell said that the discussion hopefully will make students aware of who is involved in the honor system.

"The girl who sits next to you in class might be an advisor, and you could ask her questions about the honor system," said Mitchell.

Mitchell also said that Honor Awareness Week was a way to promote the honor counsel try-outs scheduled for next week.

The rest of Honor Awareness Week will include a roundtable on Wednesday with Papa John's pizza at 7pm in Pavilion VIII. The week will conclude on Thursday with Big Jim's Bar-B-Que on the Lawn.
