Volleyball completes season sweep over Duke

The Virginia volleyball team defeated the Duke Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor Stadium Tuesday evening 3-0 (30-24, 30-19, 30-13).

This victory marked the first season sweep over Duke since 1999 and moves the Cavaliers to 20-5, 4-5 ACC, while the Blue Devils drop to 7-14, 3-6. Virginia reached the 20-win total for the first time since 1998.

Senior outside hitter Paige Davis and senior middle Shannon Boyle both turned in strong performances for the Cavaliers. The two turned in a combined 26 kills and a .411 hitting percentage, sealing the win for Virginia.

The team's next match will be on Sunday against Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC.
