Changing mindsets

Your headline constitutes a libel on the State of Israel. Israel did not execute these two Palestinians; Palestinian Arabs under the authority of Hamas executed these two Palestinian Arabs. Obviously, the staff member who penned the headline would have to be appallingly ignorant of world affairs even to think that such a headline could make sense. One supposes that it reflects the common view on college campuses that in all things Israel is the bad guy and the Palestinian Arabs are the good guys. I assume The Cavalier Daily will offer a correction. I think a correction in the mindset that made such a headline possible is equally in order.

Editor's note: A headline that appeared in the Nation & World section of the April 16 edition of The Cavalier Daily mistakenly read "Israel executes two Palestinians." The headline should have read "Hamas executes two Palestinians." The Cavalier Daily regrets the error.
