BERNSTEIN: Check your argument

As a man, Fortgang likely does not fear catcalls or violence when walking down the street alone, or being called a “slut” because of sexual promiscuity. And privileges do not only stem from race and gender but also able-bodiedness, sexuality, religion and class as well.

Now I will seek, thanks to Mr. Jefferson’s Academical Village, the beginning of a new path of graduate work and employment in Student Affairs. The man I have become desires to help younger and older students in their search for what they wish to become.

Boster’s method of defense did not set a good example for the students he attempted to protect, and created an environment not conducive to healthy debate.

Don’t assess with tests

To assess programs based on their graduates’ employment and satisfaction would be an effective way of identifying weaknesses, but examining new teachers’ students’ test scores would likely not give an accurate picture.

BERGER: Overworked, overstuffed

If cumulative final exams are something universities simply cannot get rid of, then I propose changing the schedule and perhaps staggering the ends of classes and the final exams, so that students can dedicate a sufficient amount of time to each and not feel as if their minds are forced to focus on too many topics at once.

Until proven guilty

I would hope that from my example, that there would be a thorough investigation on the University’s part to look at the facts before jumping to a decision that could potentially impact a student’s life in negative ways.
